Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Dajr condemned the arrest campaign carried out by Al-Houthi militia against the members of the General People’s Congress Party in Sana’a and a number of governorates.
The prime minister blamed the militias for the lives of the detainees, calling on the League of Arab States and the Security Council to intervene to stop the arrests and release the detainees.
He also called on international and human rights organizations to condemn the arrests and the accompanying insults and torture of detainees in militia prisons.
Yemeni Foreign Minister Abdulmalik al-Makhlafi also called on the international community to condemn the assassination carried out by al-Houthi militia against former president Ali Abdullah Saleh, warning of the dangers of international silence on the criminal practices and massacres carried out by the militias against the Yemeni people.
