Americans of Yemeni origin appeal to President Trump and the world to stop the killing of Yemenis by Iranian and Houthi gangs

Ahmad Ali, a Yemeni who holds US citizenship, said the Iranian-backed Houthi militias kill, arrest, kidnap, and imprison citizens, activists, media and politicians outside the law.

Yemeni Information Minister Muammar al-Iryani on Thursday described the violations against citizens in the capital Sana’a as “genocide” and crimes against humanity.

“The Yemeni people in the areas controlled by the Houthi-backed Houthi-backed militia militias are being subjected to the worst kinds of violations,” he said.

Al-Iryani said that the Al-Huthi militias were banned from all social media, an attempt to isolate the Yemenis in their areas of control of the world and hide the crimes committed against them.

On Thursday, al-Houthi’s militia blocked all IM and social networking applications in Yemen, while continuing with arrests, executions and house raids for the fourth consecutive day since the killing of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh.

The Yemeni official that the # Houthis carry out raids and searches for the homes of opponents, and arrest hundreds, and the implementation of field executions against hundreds of soldiers and civilians, according to a statement to the official news agency.

He expressed surprise at what he called “the alarming silence” by the international community and human rights organizations about the crimes of the Houthi militias, calling for the assumption of all their legal and moral responsibilities towards what is happening.

وقال احمد علي يمني يحمل الجنسية الامريكية ان مليشيات الحوثي المدعومة من ايران تقتل وتعتقل وتخطف وتسجن المواطنيين والناشطين والاعلاميين والسياسيين خارج القانون 

وصف وزير الإعلام اليمني، معمر الإرياني، مساء الخميس، الانتهاكات التي يتعرض لها المواطنون في العاصمة #صنعاء من قبل ميليشيات الحوثي بأنها “إبادة” وجرائم ضد الإنسانية.

وقال #الإرياني “إن الشعب اليمني في مناطق سيطرة الميليشيات الانقلابية الحوثية المدعومة من إيران يتعرض لأبشع أنواع الانتهاكات”.

واعتبر الإرياني حجب ميليشيات #الحوثي لكافة وسائط التواصل الاجتماعي، محاولة لعزل اليمنيين في مناطق سيطرتها عن العالم، وإخفاء الجرائم التي ترتكبها بحقهم.

وحجبت ميليشيات الحوثي، الخميس، جميع تطبيقات المراسلة الفورية والتواصل الاجتماعي في #اليمن، مع استمرارها بحملات الاعتقالات والإعدامات واقتحامات المنازل لليوم الرابع على التوالي منذ قتلها الرئيس السابق علي عبدالله صالح.

وأكد المسؤول اليمني أن #الحوثيين ينفذون حملات مداهمة وتفتيش لمنازل معارضيهم، واعتقال المئات، وتنفيذ إعدامات ميدانية بحق مئات العسكريين والمدنيين، وفق تصريح أدلى به لوكالة الأنباء الرسمية.

واستغرب ما أسماه “الصمت المخيف” من قبل المجتمع الدولي والمنظمات المعنية بحقوق الإنسان تجاه جرائم ميليشيات الحوثي، داعيا إلى تحمل الجميع مسؤولياتهم القانونية والأخلاقية تجاه ما يحدث.
